Who Founded “Reiki Healing for Pets”

For fourteen years, Sari Reis has owned and operated Mission Valley Pet Sitting Services in San Diego and has loved every minute of it. Wanting to offer her clients even more services, she decided to study Animal Reiki through Kathleen Prasad, the creator of Animal Reiki Source® and the “Let Animals Lead ”®Method of Animal Reiki. Kathleen’s method and her philosophy of practice, resonated with Sari right from the beginning. Enamored with the gentle but effective use of healing energy, Sari continued with her education through Levels 1,2 and 3 and became Certified as a Level 3 Animal Reiki Practitioner and Teacher in October 2021. During the period she was studying with Kathleen, Sari utilized her new skills on both her own kitties, Loki and Zeus, and her client’s pets as well. Seeing the positive effects that this method of Animal Reiki had on the animals she worked with, Sari decided she wanted to offer it to as many pets as possible, hence the creation of “Reiki Healing for Pets”.

Sari is also a member of SARA , the Shelter Animal Reiki Association, PSI, Pet Sitters International, where she was named Pet Sitter of the Year in 2013,  and the Reiki Healing Association. Over the years, she has taken numerous courses, including Pet Nutrition, Care of the Senior Pet, Pet First Aid, Certified Humane Education, Animal Psychology, Animal Behavior and Welfare, Animal Physical Therapy, Essential Cat and Kitten Care, Energy Medicine: Underlying Science and Current Research, Fundamentals of Holistic Animal Hospice Care and a Certification Course in Pet Loss and Grief Companioning. She also volunteered at the San Diego Humane Society for over 5 years and wrote a monthly article on Pet Care for the Mission Valley News for several years.
